African Snipe

AFRICAN SNIPE

Gallinago nigripennis

A: Afrikaanse Snip

A common resident of inland water bodies. Often in flooded grassland, and densely vegetated areas. Lack of barring on belly, very long bill, and lack of white in the tail retrices separate it from Great Snipe.
