An uncommon species. They are decidedly uncommon outside of large game reserves, despite occurring largely everywhere. It is one of the large eagles, and the adults are impressive. Beautiful chocolate brown upperparts and head. Pale belly/chest, with small, dark speckles. Known to take down large prey items.
