NORTHERN BLACK KORHAAN

O: White-quilled Korhaan

 

A common bird of grasslands – and especially fond of arid grasslands. Used to be lumped with what is now called Southern Black Korhaan. Differs in distribution and by the white markings in the wing. Their harsh croaking calls can often be heard in grasslands.
